Marc Bosmans and Dirk Leekens joined forces in 2013 and in "no time" they stormed the ladder of success. National victories, national championships and Olympic pigeons fell prey to this ambitious tandem. A unique list of honours that every fancier dreams of when scrutinising them.
In a sparkling career, they won 4 x 1st national, achieved 27 provincial wins, had 3 Olympiad pigeons,
2 Olympic Hope Pigeons and 2 World's best pigeons.

The 2022 season
After the summer of 2021, toppers moved to the breeding loft, but still a more than solid 2022 season was run including.

The basis
Dirk Leekens' pigeons formed the first base. The ancestor "Lucky Luke" was bought from a uncle of wife Marijke. This showpiece had 1st prov. Orléans, 1st reg. Bourges and 1st Chimay on his palmares. It was a classy 1997 "grizzle" (grey) with Karel Schellens, Kessel; Louis De Leus, Boortmeerbeek and Albert Iwens, Bonheiden in his pedigree. His offspring have provided unique results.
"Milton", line Huyskens-Van Riel, also became a progenitor and "Father Milton" was bought from Pierke Dreesen, Houthalen.
They were also on the doorstep at Pros Roosen, Kermt and descendants from "Nationaal", "Freddy" and "Prins" were bought there. At Dirk Van Dyck, Zandhoven, a son and a daughter were obtained from the "Kannibaal". A super deal was done at Etienne Stassen, Dilsen-Stokkem. There, "Olympic Triple" was purchased who was Olympiad pigeon in Poznan in 2013. The progeny of "Olympic Triple" has rarely been seen. A daughter became Olympiadbird Brussels and many grandchildren are currently the "stars" of the racing and breeding loft.
So to summarise, there are 4 important breeding lines. The top male "Lucky Luke", the pigeons of Pros Roosen, the "Kannibaal" and the Olympiad pigeon of Etienne Stassen. But Marc and Dirk have continued to invest in top pigeons. Always looking for certain lines that could strengthen the base and they were successful with toppers such as:
* The father of the "Olympiade" of Cyriel Camps, Kermt.
* The mother of "Vince" of Jimmy Cardinaels, As
* The 4th national acebird "Speed" of L. Mensch, Tessenderlo
* A son of "Harry" of Jan Hooymans, Kerkdriel
* The mother of 1st national Guéret of Gerard and Bas Verkerk, Reeuwijk
Compensatory pairing is practised. During the breeding season, the breeders always receive light (12 hrs) from the morning onwards. There is no pre-mating.
