Eijerkamp Family's unprecedented motivation also delivered top results in 2024

In one of the previous reports on top colony Hans & Evert-Jan Eijerkamp we put the class of the “gray variety” of Leideman Gebroeders in the picture. But those who follow the Eijerkamp family's strain structure a little bit know that the basis of the Eijerkamp colony is a very solid one.

Some important basic pigeons include “Luka Modric”, “New Euro” and “Olympic Jozef”.

A basis that in the course of the years is always provided with the very best contemporary top lines. Breeds that are at the top of their abilities, breeding lines that can only strengthen the already strong Eijerkamp colony. 

Hans and Evert-Jan also noticed that the famous Willem de Bruijn pigeons provided the necessary reinforcement on many lofts. Willem and the Eijerkamp family have known each other for years and we have to say it like it is, both are good with each other's pigeons.

But as everyone knows, at the end of December 2023 a “world transfer” was made by the purchase of topper “Geeloger” from Erik Limbourg. “Geeloger” was born from 2 original Willem de Bruijn pigeons and won with Erik during the tough 2023 season the 1st National ace pigeon title KBDB all-round old/yearling

Evert-Jan himself states; "I am so incredibly happy that we were able to purchase this top pigeon from Erik Limbourg. We simply want Allround top pigeons in our loft that can fly at the front from 100 to 750 km under all circumstances. This ace played at the front with speeds of 1,170 m.p.m. as well as 1,546 m.p.m. There are people who prefer to spend a lot of money on a Porsche, but I am much happier spending that money on a top pigeon like this "Geeloger".

With this purchase, Hans and Evert-Jan once again underline their ambition to be among the best pigeon fanciers in the Netherlands. Their strategy more than bears fruit and the results of the past season prove this very clearly.
