Jan & Tom Iwens (Sint-Katelijne-Waver) maintain their status with a small colony

In recent years, father & son combination Jan & Tom Iwens has been doing very well. In the 2022 season, “Manon” won 1st Int.Prov Vierzon of 6,366 pigeons and this was the fastest of 15,233 pigeons in total. In addition, there was “Angele” who won 1st Nat (z) Chateauroux 1,668 pigeons and also had a fantastic list of achievements. Her full sister is “Renke” who became 2nd National Ace pigeon longer middle distance over 6 flights with several top prizes nationally. Now in 2024, the racing team has certainly not increased in size, but they opt purely for quality. Here we present to you their best results of 2024 together with a new top couple that has been reconfirmed.

We call the first grandchild (BE24-6011123) of the Jules x Perfect Lady couple that is being raced “Iron Lady”. She immediately won in the young pigeons in her first middle distance races:

She flew far too few races, so she still had a lot to learn this year. She flew her first national race on 14/07. However, she quickly does this with the following results so far:
