Jef Vanwinkel (Tielt-Winge): 1st Prov. Bourges 2.874 old birds (fastest of 5.207b)

Jef Vanwinkel, who doesn't know him? 
On the first national flight from Bourges last weekend he was able to add yet another victory to his already impressive palmares.
Jef won the 1st Prov. Bourges against 2,874 old birds with "Nova", and she was also the fastest of 5,207 pigeons. 

Before Bourges
At the end of April, Jef was hospitalised twice for an operation on a pneumothorax.
In the meantime, his pigeons were looked after by Jef's nephew Valere Peeters and his good friend Lucien Laevers.
Considering the past performances, Jef can only conclude that they did a good job.

Before the national race Bourges, his pigeons flew 2x Momignies, 2x Soissons and 2x Hafo.
Locally, the counter already stands at 6 victories.

Nutrition
As for feed, Jef gives Champion Plus + Gerry Plus (Versele-Laga) and Super Recup + Super Recup High Perormance (Anthoons).
In the drinking water, he regularly gives Tolyamin Forte (Tollisan).
The pigeons are also in excellent health as the vet has not yet had to visit.

When we asked Jef to describe his provincial winner Bourges old pigeons, he replied the following:
"NOVA" is a checkered hen, somewhat on the small side but very soft of plume.
