17 Sep 2024
Waltwilder - Lindekens Chretien from Waltwilder put in an impressive performance at the national flight in Argenton, winning the provincial 1st prize for old pigeons. His winning pigeon, ring number BE22-5092074, outdistanced no fewer than 200 other old pigeons to take first place in Limburg.
At national level, the success didn't stop there. The Lindekens pigeon took 8th place in a field of no fewer than 1,787 old pigeons, a remarkable performance!
Previous performances by BE22-5092074 include:
2nd Sens against 784 pigeons
13th Sens against 1,459 pigeons
16th Trelou against 513 pigeons
23rd Gien against 690 pigeons
23rd Laon against 306 pigeons
33rd Sens against 501 pigeons
44th Chimay against 515 pigeons
46th Gien against 1,264 pigeons
52nd Sourdun against 608 pigeons
The winning pigeon was bred by Lindekens himself. Remarkably, the pigeon behaves quietly and calmly in the loft, a characteristic that may have contributed to its success in the race. Lindekens' loft contains 30 pairs of pigeons. He races according to the traditional widowhood system, where the pigeons are separated from their partners before the race, which often results in better flight performance.
To feed his pigeons, Lindekens uses Galaxy mixes from Beyers, a popular brand in pigeon racing, known for its high-quality feed mixes.
This victory is an important step in Lindekens' career and the whole Herbots team can only congratulate him warmly!
