OUR NEW HERBOTS BREEDINGBOOK 2023

Dear Sports Friends,

2022 was a special year for the Herbots family. First and foremost because we had to say goodbye to “our” daddy Filip Herbots. He was the pioneer and the foundation on which we continue to build today. He taught us all the knowledge and tricks of the pigeonsport for which we are always grateful to him!

We started the 2022 season with particularly good performances such as 4,11,12,28,44,54,57,….National Bourges against more than 20,000 pigeons (see page 66) but also 1st and 2nd Provincial Vierzon fastest of 4,249 pigeons and then bird flu broke out in our region, so we were not allowed to train or participate in competitions for more than a month in the middle of the season. As a result, we were deprived of all chances of winning championships in 2022.

A particularly beautiful moment was the Olympiad in Romania. Anyone who was lucky enough to represent their country at the Olympiad knows how difficult this competition is. Only the best 3 pigeons from each country per category are sent and Herbots represented Belgium with 4 different Olympiad Ace pigeons!

We are the only loft in Belgium that was allowed to represent Belgium at the Olympiads with 17 different pigeons over the past years.

You can only achieve such exceptional performances with an exceptionally good breeding loft, this is the basis of every success! Long ago our slogan was “Always looking for N° 1”, and it is still the case today. Every year we strengthen ourselves with a few exceptional pigeons, pigeons that have performed exceptionally well themselves and of which we are convinced that they will pass this on in the breeding.

At the beginning of 2021 we bought DIVA BELGICA 2178654-16 (page 8), she was the best youngster middle distance KBDB and perhaps the best breeding hen in the world! The first year of the breeding season (2021) we achieved with her son BACHELOR (page 9) the 1st National Chateauroux against 18,000 youngsters, also fastest of both the youngsters, yearlings and old pigeons (21,000 p.). In 2022 she is the dam of 8th National Ace Pigeon KBDB Young Birds Allround and 3rd Provincial Ace Pigeon Middle Distance. Once again proof that super pigeons come from super pigeons!

Another recent topper is OLYMPIC RICO 5031856-20 (page 5) himself 1st National Ace Pigeon Sprint, 1st Olympiad Ace Pigeon and 1st World Best Pigeon against old, yearlings and youngsters. An exceptional achievement! Born from a family of winners, his father also won 1st World Best Pigeon. From Olympic Rico we breed 2nd Prov. Vierzon 2,752 pigeons (after loft mate) and his children easily pass on the good genes, grandchildren won 1st prize in final OLR S.Bulgaria, 1st against 5,176 p., 1st against 2,448 p, etc.

Breeding is searching, searching for better and faster pigeons and that is an art. This is what we deal with every day. If you are interested in youngsters from our breeders, do not hesitate and contact us without obligation.
