Bert Martens & Son from Elsloo (NL) have had a fantastic season thanks to the super breeding line of “Mathieu”

The racing team Bert & Roger Martens from Elsloo in the Netherlands was very consistent last season and with several first prizes against many pigeons they have had a top season. The series of 1st prizes is almost impossible to keep up with and the great series they have achieved are truly fantastic, which bodes well for their yearling racing team for the coming season. They were especially strong with the young pigeons and from Lorris they won the 1st Nat Sector B1 against 4,157 pigeons, she was the fastest of 44,875 pigeons. Her nest sister also won the first on Marche against 7,200 pigeons and 2 other young pigeons from this new top couple also performed very strongly and consistently.

In addition, there is of course the fantastic breeding line of “Mathieu” who was a super racer himself, but in the breeding loft ensures a line that continues very strongly. Not only he, but also his children, brothers and sisters are doing fantastic in the breeding and racing loft.

Mathieu himself was bred from their old strain x “Granddaughter Superman”. The son of "Superman" from Dennis Vleugelers, who is present here in the breeding loft, is a full brother of 1st National Blois against 33,709 pigeons. “Superman” who became 2nd Nat. Ace Pigeon Middle Distance in the Netherlands was then coupled to his best hen, who was a daughter of 1st National Munich. Because they have so much success with the Engels pigeons, a hen from Jules & Jos Engels was coupled to “Son Superman”. This was a daughter of “De Witte As” and granddaughter 178/94, the old but extremely strong basis at the Engels house.
