Bruneel-Verhaeghe (Ruddervoorde) wins 1st Provincial Argenton III West Flanders against 1,361 old birds

Ruddervoorde - The husband-wife combination Bruneel-Verhaeghe from Ruddervoorde achieved a nice provincial victory on the national flight Argenton III in the province of West Flanders, where they competed against 1,361 old birds. Nationally, they achieved 79th place against 8,343 old birds. Their winning pigeon BE22-3076463, named "Fytherke", made this achievement possible and confirmed its excellent pedigree. With 2 times "Fyther" (1st national Agen 2013 against 5,507 old birds) of Bert Van den Berghe in its pedigree, as well as other national winners and Olympiad pigeons. "Fytherke" proves to be a clever and calm pigeon who won his prizes in five national flights of the heavy middle distance this season.

Remarkable results as a yearling

As a yearling, "Fytherke" also achieved remarkable results:
2nd out of 215 locally and 4th out of 1,151 in Argenton (zone A1)
15th out of 255 locally in Argenton

Not much attention is paid to the performance of youngsters, but "Fytherke" was probably sent along to 200 km on port.

Breeders

The Bruneel-Verhaeghe combination owns 15 to 20 couples of breeders, mainly coming from Bert Van den Berghe & Marc and Geert Pollin. Also grandson "Figo", through co-breeding with Hilde Reynaert, and "Kurtje", who finished 39th out of 2,899 national from Tarbes, coming from Kurt Galle (Galle-Wynants), contribute to their successful pigeon tribe. Recently they have also added pigeons from Noël Peiren, who have already shown promising results:
54th and 104th national in Agen from 6,435 pigeons
1st and 7th from 300 pigeons locally in Gistel

Simplicity and Passion

Bruneel-Verhaeghe's approach focuses on simplicity and as little medication as possible. This allows them not to get too worked up when results are sometimes less, and to focus on enjoying the wonderful hobby that is pigeon racing.
