David Vermassen (Gavere) is experiencing a great season on all fronts

The colony of David Vermassen from Gavere in East Flanders is running at a high level. The lofts are run by mother Nadine and Denis Annaert. They take care of the pigeons together every day due to lack of time at David himself, where there is a woman in the loft you can see the top results again. In 2022, the top 100 National was won several times and the last 2 weekends in particular were fantastic. The young pigeon team is in super form and as they have now performed in Bourges, they seem ready to show beautiful things. With 8 x TOP 100 National with the old and young together, it was a party at the Vermassen house.

Bourges started with 1st National in the zone against 3,367 young pigeons and they won 4th National against 23,846 young pigeons, in addition they set up a nice series with 4 x TOP 100 National and 42 pigeons, of which 42 came home. This team flew Toury last weekend and again started with 1 – 2 – 3 against 2,232 youngsters. The other team for Toury in a different combination but here too the first 3 prizes were started.

After their national victories in 2020 with “Falco” 1st National Souillac 6,668b (fastest against 14.182p) and in 2013 with “Black Hawk” 1st National Brive against 6,842 pigeons, they are on their way to a new national winner. The main focus was on the line of this latter national winner, which was crossed with mainly pigeons from Christine De Bruycker and Freddy & Jacques Vandenheede.

Super breeder National winner Brive

In 2013, 1st National Brive was won against 6,842 old pigeons, “Black Hawk” was a classy bird that also won.The decision was made not to sell this pigeon and now it is mainly grandchildren and great-grandchildren who provide fantastic results here. 

Almost all top pigeons that we are going to present here contain this national winner. A very strong family that can fly top against thousands of pigeons from the middle distance to the long distance flights.
