On the national race from Argenton they were on high alert in the Gavere home of the Vermassen. In recent years the colony has perhaps been doing their best ever. They always clock early pigeons in the national races of the great middle distance and one day long distance, even though some top pigeons have not returned home this season. We hear it everywhere, but here too they cannot escape it. That being said, there are already new toppers who uphold the honor of this colony in the racing loft. In the national race from Argenton it was the turn of “Sidonie” who won 1st National (z) Argenton against 1,618 pigeons. In recent weeks, the pigeons in the one day long distance in particular have been doing very well. Anyone who can present an 8th National Tulle 7,883p, 8th National Souillac 4,073p and 24th National Limoges 10,653p must have good papers. The best pigeons here still revolve around a few basic couples, just like everyone else. Together they try to keep this strain intact and we especially note that the pigeons from the “Super Bourgeske” 4th National Bourges 23,846 young pigeons are doing fantastic. There is no doubt that we have not heard the last of this. The pigeons are fine and the youngsters have already survived the first middle distance races, so the new guard is ready to shine as well. They set the bar high for themselves, but this is the only way you can compete with the very best.
