Denis Sapin (Incourt) has the best old pigeon after 2 national races in the great middle distance

After 2 national races, the first rankings are drawn up and among the old pigeons the best pigeon for the time being belongs to Denis Sapin in Incourt, Walloon. His hen was provisionally national winner for a while last Saturday, but after the arrivals in Antwerp had to settle for bronze against 16,547 old pigeons. Two weeks earlier she had also won 2nd Provincial Bourges against 1,749 pigeons. This means that she is the best pigeon among the old pigeons so far after 2 national flights. This hen comes directly from Gino Clicque and has several national ace pigeons and winners in her pedigree, as we always find in the best pigeons of this colony. 

System

There are barely 12 hens in this racing loft, so there is no large racing team to compete in the national flights. The hens are not brought into the racing loft until late and stay in the aviary all winter. These pigeons are not bred unless there is a super among them and that was the case with Lola, who was paired in the winter with “Romeo”, 1st National Ace Pigeon Sprint KBDB. 

The other hens were not coupled in the winter, but they did come together with a cock in March and were allowed to breed for about 10 days to become more stable in the nest. Then widowhood was started and they were trained quietly, the old hen only flew once in the middle distance before she went to Bourges. She didn't go the weekend in between because of the bad weather and next weekend she will fly a shorter race.

The hens train once a day and were not darkened in the spring. During the day they live in the resting loft where no rollers or grilles are provided. If the pigeons become too violent, Denis locks them up, but so far that has not been the case. The pigeons always get to see their cock before basketing and after the flight they are always allowed to stay with it for a few hours. In terms of nutrition, he uses Aidi for the hens.
