Guy Van Der Auwera from Wuustwezel shines on the 1st middle distance race of the season (fastest against 16,671 pigeons )

The season could finally start on the 13th of June after several training races and the middle distance racers were waiting impatiently to give their pigeon towards 300km and more. As expected many pigeons were being basketed in all provinces and we are in full preperation towards the nationals.
If we have a look at the fastest pigeons within the province of Antwerp we get to the top colony from Guy Van Der Auwera. Last year het won 1st National Ace bird Greater Middle Distance year birds KBDB and 1st National Bourges. Or in other words, a colony you have to take into account.
On this first middle distance race it was immediately a hit in the rose with an old hen that wins the 1st Melun against 3,970 pigeons but is also the fastest against 16,671 pigeons in total. Coincidence or not but she is a half-sister to 'Special Black'. The national ace bird of last year, good blood still doesn't lie.
