Haesevoets-Haesevoets (Diest) win 1st Provincial Bourges 2,454 young pigeons

The tandem Francois & Johan Haesevoets – Haesevoets from Diest in Brabant finally managed to win a provincial victory. Over the years they have achieved several national top rankings, but they were usually 2nd or 3rd provincially. Now they are going to win the first national race or young pigeons from Bourges.

Their young hen wins the 1st Provincial against 2,454 young pigeons and takes 10th place nationally against 26,549 young pigeons. This is a daughter of an old super breeder from which several pigeons have already been bred that flew top 100 nationally, crossed with the best lines of Hugo Vlaeminck.

System 

The young pigeons have been sitting on the sliding door for about 4 weeks now, which was opened for the first time on the first middle distance flight and which opens for a few hours before basketing and that is how the pigeons are basketed. Once the season is underway, no more time is spent on extra riding with the youngsters, if they train well at home that is more than enough for them.

The pigeons flew 2 x Momignies, 2 x Soissons and 3 x Sermaises in preparation before taking the final test for Bourges National on Lorris last week. This was not an easy flight, but the necessary experience certainly helped these young pigeons. They were darkened from the beginning of March to the 1st week of June from 6:00 PM to 8:00 AM. The additional lighting started from the first week of July and will continue until the last flight of the season. The pigeons that have recovered well after Bourges will return to Vierzon. 

The winning pigeon from Bourges was paired with another young hen, they had secured a place in the loft in a box, but as soon as this box opened, a cock took control of it and this hen probably flew based on this motivation.

The pigeons always train in the morning and early afternoon, once a day. The young pigeons flew well from the start this year and now after the flight from Bourges the training on Monday was very good. Still a good signal that the pigeons have recovered well after Bourges. 

In terms of nutrition, they receive Beyers Sport Light together with Beyers Vandenabeele and in recent days Champion Plus I.C. from Versele Laga. On Sundays I have been using Detox from Matador for several weeks now, which I feel very good about. The medical supervision here is under the supervision of Raf Herbots and so far the young pigeons have received very little, only the yellow drops they have been given every week before departure from 2 nights in the basket.
