Hendriks Jo & Florian Racing is silver - Breeding is gold

The career of Jo and Florian Hendriks reads like a fairy tale. Unbelievable how much quality there is on the lofts. Quality that does not only excel in Nijswiller but also brings success to many other lofts.

But first let's go back to the season 2021. Here are some results of championships and that says more than enough

The phenomenal Chateauroux result
1st, 3rd and 5th Chateauroux 1,274b. (Division 4)

Everybody remembers the flooding of Dutch Limburg and Belgium. Also in the Hendriks house, there was a lot of water damage. Under the pigeon loft and in the house there was water where it should not have been. A lot of fuss in and around the loft and despite this "misery" Jo and Florian decided to basket for the national one day long distance race from La Souterraine. The young widowers team had already finished Issoudun (where they started with the 7th prize against 34,214b) and now the plan was to let them finish a 2nd long distance race from La Souterraine. No sooner said than done and because of the hectics in and around the house/pigeon loft, it was decided to just pick up the cocks from the loft during basketing. 

But the story does not end here. On Saturday the flight was postponed because of bad weather and because also on Sunday the weather forecasts were not favourable, the whole convoy was moved to Chateauroux and on Sunday at 9.15 am the baskets were opened. With a weak northeast wind, the 1,274 Limburg pigeons could start their journey home. Driving against the wind, the winning pigeon was clocked by our sympathetic Limburgers at 18:02 (distance 538km). Good for an average speed of 1,021m/m and with that no pigeon from Limburg did better.

Winner was "Brother Kleine Gerard" out of "Son Zina" x "Klein Dirkje".

The 3rd prize was won by "505", a beautiful son of "Kleine Gerard" x "Sister Friendship".

The 5th place was won by "526", a half-brother of toppers "Bully Harry" and "National 3". Son out of "Perfect Harry" (Jan Hooymans) x "Daughter King Kong".

"777-21" a topper of an unprecedented level
When we ask Florian which widower has more love in his hands he answers after some hesitation... the "777". 
The "777-21" was bred out of the sister of "Bono Harry".

And fastest in Sector 1-2-3 34,806 pigeons!

Winner is "Hurricane Orleans" and this topper has as mother a direct Hendriks pigeon out of "Brother Kleine Gerard". Pitty detail a full brother won earlier 1/11,734 NPO Sens

Jan Pappens (Hundelgem)
One of the eye catchers on the national races of Belgium in 2021 was without any doubt Jan Pappens (Hundelgem). Jan has a nose for good pigeons and no wonder he invested in the quality of the Hendriks pigeons. Through Pigeon Bids Jan bought a/o "Son Gerard Ace" and immediately he bred a 1st prize winner against 4,409 young birds out of it.
