Kristian Vrebos from Neerijse wins 1st National Ace Pigeon Rhone Vallei KBDB 2021
03 Oct 2023
The colony of Kristian Vrebos is housed in Neerijse in Brabant. The long-distance and heavy fancier through and through won 2 years ago the 1st National Ace Pigeon Rhone Valley KBDB with his super crack “Mister Rhone” who flew a total of 4 x TOP 85 National. In this internet sale that is currently underway, the best breeders from this colony are offered.
Kristian learned the trade through father Jean and grandfather Victor, who were mainly active in speed racing and did excellently there. But Kristian's love for the harder work started in 2004 and after years of selection we arrive at those few special pigeons that have been able to perform on the tough flights. In 2010 he normally became 2nd National Long Distance Champion, but unfortunately he was not classified due to a clerical error. In 2011 Kristian took sporting revenge with 1st National Limoges against 19,369 pigeons. Afterwards, provincial victories were won at Pau and Montelimar and he became DAL Melker in 2013.
Because the breeding lofts had to be demolished due to problems with the neighbors, fewer racing pigeons could be raced, for a while no young pigeons were bred and only the old pigeons that were still there were raced. In 2020 there were 6, in the 2021 season only 2, including this 1st National Ace Pigeon Rhone Vallei KBDB 2021.
Now it will be phased out in the long term and only games will be played because Kristian is increasingly committed to the charity of “Kom op tegen Kanker”.
Over the years he always invested in good blood from enthusiasts from the region or from neighboring countries. Especially now he has some pigeons with the strain of Stijn & Jeroen Rans, a hen from Batenburg Van de Merwe which is also a double granddaughter of “Jef” who comes from Stijn and Jeroen Rans. Some children from Geert de Schepper's old basic breeders came to join the breeding loft and he got most of them from Mast Schepers in the Netherlands.
This year Bertrand M & M from Francorchamps won the National flight from Narbonne and his pigeon was the fastest of 11,100 pigeons. The mother was also a direct pigeon from Mast Schepers in the Netherlands. The origin of these pigeons is very much based on the very best lines of Batenburg Van de Merwe with mainly “New Laureaat”, “New Remy”, “Narbonne”, “Witbuik”,…
