史罗伊恩-斯托克曼斯（Schroyen – Stockmans）荣获波治林堡省成鸽组2243羽冠军

In the first national race from Bourges, the super hen from the Schroyen – Stockmans colony from Lummen wins the 1st Provincial Bourges in Limburg against 2,243 old pigeons. This hen was not ready for her test piece and also won 1st Provincial Argenton in 2022. Her sister “265/21” also won 1st Provincial Melun against 2,747 pigeons. This is a family of winners and top flyers. 

Different approach to the season

For the first year a different approach was used for the season, the racing pigeons did not breed in winter and the first flights came home without any motivation. So they left without cocks and also came home to an empty loft, we did this with the intention of keeping them there from the end of May. Now at Bourges we showed the cocks for the first time at basketing, while from the beginning of May they received their cocks when they returned home.

The result was good after the first weekend because not only Bourges was won, but they also won the 1st Regional against 2,183 pigeons at Nanteuil. 

The hens were not darkened compared to last year and remained in the aviary day and night. The intention is that they will do this for an entire season, the top of the aviary is closed while everything else is open. The cocks were also in the aviary in the spring, but they are now allowed in at night.

The hens train once a day, usually at 3 pm in the afternoon and they easily fly for an hour. They usually train for an hour and a half without any effort, this has been the case from the beginning and they have maintained this until now. The cocks train twice a day, but they train a little less hard than the hens. It is possible that the cocks will train once a day from now on, but we haven't quite figured that out yet.
