National Days in Denmark

First weekend in February 2020 the National days of Denmark was arranged at hotel Pejsegaarden in Jutland. As always the arrangement was opened on Friday and closed down Saturday evening with a big party for fanciers and their families. The National days this year was a big success with many visitors and a lot of optimistic talking about our lovely sport.

During the days fanciers could visit many stands with pigeons, pigeoncorn and pigeon supplements etc. Herbots in Denmark was also represented with a very nice stand and a lot of fanciers were visiting the stand during the days. Especially fanciers were talking a lot about how to prevent the young bird disease and how treat their pigeons before and after races with the products from Herbots. 

Friday evening a big auction tolk place with young birds from 2019 from a famous belgian loft and an partner from Ireland. The auction was a succes with average prices higher than normal in Denmark. The sold birds were of a very good origin and very close the several international famous racers and breeders. Many fanciers now look forward to test their new investments in the breeding in 2020.

Saturday in the afternoon the Danish Federation held the National meeting for representatives from pigeon-clubs from all around in Denmark. Before the meeting all the champions of races in 2019 were celebrated and among these the winner of the Golden Wing of Herbots (won by the first nominated  pigeon in the last national marathon races at approx 900 km.). At last in the meeting a special reward was given the a very wellknown fancier in Denmark since many years Mr. Freddi Nygaard. This year Freddi has become 80 years old, but he is still going strong with the pigeons together with his wife Jenny.

Saturday evening the arrangement closed with a big party and now all the Danish fanciers look forward to the racing season 2020 after these very nice National days.
