Patrick Vervloesem (Rijmenam) wins 1st Provincial Argenton 856 old birds (fastest of 2,554p)

In the national race from Argenton we find the winner for the province of Antwerp among the old pigeons with Patrick Vervloesem in Rijmenam. His pigeon had a provincial lead of no less than 23m/min over the second old pigeon and in the zone the lead was even greater and was 29m/min. An exceptional achievement to clock such an early pigeon at this location, which flies very early nationally. There he comes back in 6th place against 8,867 old pigeons.

This widower has loads of experience and won 6/6 in the national flights last year. He is a direct son of his best breeding couple “Magic 121” x “Kaasboer Gold”. Several proven top pigeons have flown fantastically and other children of this couple are also doing fantastic in the breeding. 

The widowers here are raced in classic widowhood. They were paired in December to allow them to breed for 5 days. Afterwards they were in widowhood and only came together for a day just before the racing season. On that day, Patrick rides twice with the widowers up to a maximum of 10 km and then they go to Quievrain the next day. He is not a fancier who likes to drive to teach the pigeons a lot. The pigeons only train here once a day, but they do this very hard before the season, sometimes this has to do with birds of prey so they do not dare to fall, but gradually they get more and more in shape and completing one hour has simply become routine. The hen is always shown at basketing and when returning home it always leaves in the early evening. They never spend a night together when they return home.
