Ronny Menten from Rummen wins 1st Provincial Argenton 2,096 yearlings

Just one year ago we also visited Ronny Menten, not for a national victory, that was later in the year, but for 1st National (z) Argenton with the old pigeons. Now at Argenton he wins among the yearlings and this with a daughter of a super couple. Proven pigeons that can fly to the top of the national results time and time again. We all want these but with this family the results are proven.  

Racing team

The racing team here is raced partly in classic widowhood and partly in total widowhood. The winner has a permanent partner and is part of the classic widowhood team. This team was not allowed to breed during the winter and thus started the season. The pigeons get a good condition in the spring, which they can then build on. An attempt is now being made, if possible, to have the pigeons train twice a day. 

The pigeons always get to see their cocks for half an hour before basketing and then Ronny & Ilse start packing away. The latter will be there longer, but that is not a problem. When they return home, they are always allowed to recover for half an hour to an hour before joining their cocks. They are then fed just before they go to the cocks. Afterwards they stay together until the early evening. 

The Argenton racing team was given a rest the week before due to the bad weather and this was also the case at Bourges. Each time there was only one ride until Hannut and that was it. Now after Argenton the pigeons have been taken to Gien again, we will see what this will mean for the next national race.

The pigeons are given Beyers Detox Minerals when they return home and I have been using this for the first year and I feel very good about it. I also use the Beyers mixtures and they get the products from the Röhnfried range.
