Top results from loft Jos Vercammen (Vremde) on Melun and Bourges (WE 29-05)

Hok Jos Vercammen, or in other words Jos and Lars Vercammen, have again made their presence felt. Last weekend they raced again and the competition can only look at the results with admiration. Please enjoy:

We asked Lars more information
We started this year with 90 old and yearling birds, completed with about 30 youngsters who only raced Quievrain (104km) in their year of birth. This last group is still paying their dues at the moment. Flying early is alternated with being late. But we are patient and we are convinced that there will be some top birds among them!
Most of our racers have done winter breeding. Coupled around January or February. This is necessary because we still have to change them to another loft and then it goes much easier.
We feed the complete range of Versele Laga. In the beginning of the week we feed them the Gerry Plus Black Label mixture. Towards the end of the week we mainly give the Master Widowhood and Master Black mixtures. We are very pleased with this feed, top quality!
We haven't had to do anything medically for the moment, the pigeons are in perfect health. Before the season, we gave the pigeons a tricho cure and at the moment, they are still free of tricho. We only intervene on advice of the vet. If the form is present, you don't have to change much.

The coming weeks, we are going to split up our pigeons to different races. We don't give all pigeons on one and the same race. That is too much of a risk and if there is a disaster, it can be game over for the next few years. We are not players of championships, we try to get top results and to discover the toppers as soon as possible. Those few absolute top pigeons, that is what it is all about in pigeon sport. We are lucky to have a few of them in our racing team, such as "Mustang Disney", "Mustang Queen", "El Muro", "100/20",...

The week before he won 1° Noyon (208km) 324 birds and was the 4° fastest pigeon in the province of Antwerp against 9,176 birds.
