Veulemans – Perilleux from Visseraken and their Platinum Pair

The top colony of Veulemans - Perilleux from the Flemish Brabant fishing village have once again had a very strong season. They shine at a high level in both the first and last national race, it started at Bourges National where they brought home silver in the yearlings. Their yearling cock BE 21-2069627 won 2nd National Bourges against 24,496 yearlings and was the 3rd fastest of 58,124 pigeons in total. He is a son of top breeder "Ivo" from Ivo Renders and super breeding hen "Melita" who already became the mother of 2nd National Tulle against 5,067 pigeons in 2021 and now again 2nd National, speaking of a super hen.
In the last national race it was a hit with the youngsters where they won 1st Provincial Chateauroux against 2,651 youngsters and 4th National against 17,081 youngsters. This hen came out top racer "678/19" who herself won 1st Sermaises against more than 2,000 pigeons and "Mila" she herself won 3 x TOP 20 against more than 1,000 pigeons and she comes directly from the basic hen "Iron Lady" crossed with Gaston From the Wouwer.

Almost all pigeons are related to their stock couple the “Platinum Pair”.A golden couple that are few and far between but are so strong in the national races. In total there are already 3 National winners from the descendants and 13 x 1st National (z).Shining on the highest scaffold is the sweetest thing they do.
The origin of the colony
Since 2008 they have joined forces and the 2 colonies of Andre & Toon Veulemans merged with Jacques & Olav Perilleux. The fathers in particular are responsible for the care of the pigeons during the day, especially father Andre, where all the racing lofts are located. Because Olav can no longer go to the lofts because of ''pigeon lung'', he mainly takes care of the administration and Toon & Andre take care of the care. A strong team that works hard together is needed to exchange ideas and set out a strategy.
This certainly did them no harm because since their merger they have won 3 x 1st National with a.o. 1st Nat Bourges 24,019p, 1st Nat La Souterraine 9,580p and 1st Nat Gueret 2,429p. On top of that 1x 1st Semi – National and 13 x 1st National Zone.
Platinum Pair still ensures the great success.
The “Platinum Pair” consists of “279/99” which was obtained from Mathieu Roox in Veldwezelt (this was Nagels x Serré Laporte pedigree ) coupled to “375/00” Nathalia which Toon obtained from Rudi Hendrikx in Maasmechelen. It remains something special that we are all looking for to discover such a couple, the descendants of these pigeons flew fantastically and luckily they did even better in the breeding loft, so that the stock could be expanded around this family. A total of 13 children provided a provincial, interprovincial, national zone or national winner. Simply top class.

In the current breeding loft it will be rare to find a couple in which no family of this couple is present. The current toppers of the 2020 and 2021 season also all have these genes in them.
Of course with such a top couple you have to look for crosses with foreign blood that they got from Albert Derwa, Ronny Menten, Maurice & Ivan Vandersmissen, Willem De Bruijn and Gaston Vandewouwer. There was also joint breeding with Lossignol – Kemerlinckx where they are already reaping the first fruits in the national races, which is still the priority here.
In recent years, pigeons have been added from Davy Tournelle, Ivo Renders, Motton – Coel, Jos Thone, Thijs Peters , Clement Matterne, Haezevoets & Zonen and they bought the top pigeons that were bred from their pigeons from Hervé and Erwin van Parijs.
