Wil & Johan Boonen are national top class in the marathon in the Netherlands The Boonen brothers, Wil & Johan are 2 fantastic people who can talk about pigeon racing for hours. But the cowardly theft in 2022 threw a major spanner in the works, what was and still is a pure hobby was completely undermined by the toppers that were stolen here. Working again on our way to the top, everyone knows how difficult that is. The line that is drawn is mainly the proven pigeons that were left and where “Caatje” 1st National Barcelona 4,919 in particular will hopefully make her mark in the coming years. In 2019 they won the 1st National Marseille and 2nd International against 10,029 pigeons with “New Janske”. In 2021 they were able to triumph with “Caatje” who won 1st National Barcelona against 4,838 pigeons and more than 26 m/min ahead of the 2nd pigeon in difficult conditions. Caatje 1st NATIONAL Barcelona
July 9, 2021, in the Spanish city of Barcelona, the pigeons were given the freedom to eternal fame at 6.45 am. Over a distance of 1112km, “Caatje” was clocked at 7:14 in the morning. We had to wait and see for the next pigeons, but she had more than enough lead and was 26m/min faster than the 2nd pigeon in the Netherlands. A super performance of this top hen in tough conditions.
She is a granddaughter of "Evita" from the German colony Lessmeister who won 1st National Barcelona in 2006 and a granddaughter of the "Bonte" from Francois Callebout. This “Bonte” won 2 x 1st Provincial in the Rhone Valley, namely 1st Provincial Montelimar ( 3rd National 2,166 pigeons ) and 1st Provincial Marseille ( 21st National 4,000 pigeons )
Super cock “Lowie”
In 2017, NL 16-1731172 Lowie won the 1st NPO Bergerac against 1,908 pigeons over a distance of 818km. He also won 3rd National over the whole of the Netherlands against 21,204 old birds. He also comes from a family of toppers because his full sister won 5th National Marseille in 2018 against 2,750 old pigeons.
He comes from a cock from Jos Martens coupled to the real stock mother of this colony “Vanity 36” which comes from Antoon Vorselen.
