The pigeons train once every day, always in the morning. After the previous flight from Montoire, the pigeons were not allowed to stay together for so long with a view to Chateauroux. In the beginning we mainly use Racing mix 1 and 3 from Aidi for the shorter flights, but once it gets heavier we switch to the Vanrobaeys mixtures. This is Flight Exclusive and Top Energy. In terms of additional products, we use a lot of the Röhnfried range, this is mainly Mumm, Rotosal, Hexenbier (a lot for young pigeons before the season), Gerwit-W, BT-Amin. We also use Hepasan from Probel-Fly and Tolyaminn Forte from Schroeder – Tollisan. We visit the latter once or twice a year in Kerkrade, during the season itself we go for a check-up at Van der Cruyssen because it is closer. The pigeons are purified before the season against tricho and respiratory tract. We use a pill every 3 weeks against tricho and one every 4 weeks against coccidiosis. The pigeons are often in the basket for 2 nights or even more, so we don't want to take any risks here. There is no blind treatment for airways, we always go for a check-up.

The young pigeons are vaccinated against Paramyxo Rota, Parmayxo, Paratyphys and then smallpox.
