As - Jos Thoné has put in another brilliant performance. After winning the 1st provincial prize at Limoges last weekend, he now has in his pocket the 1st provincial prize at the Argenton national flight against 1,379 yearlings. He also recorded impressive results at the Sens flights and the Dax international race.

Argenton

At the Argenton national competition, Jos Thoné won the 1st provincial prize against 1,379 yearlings, with "Willy", a pigeon named after Jos' elder brother who celebrated his 65th birthday on 15/07, and who took 34th place nationally against 11,777 yearlings over a distance of 572 km. "Willy" had already shown himself to be very motivated, as he liked to enter the youngsters' loft to defend a breeding box. The old cocks and the young cocks of the first round train together twice a day, in the morning and in the afternoon, which clearly benefits their condition and motivation when you look at Willy's recent performance.

Sens

At the Sens flight (355 km), the young pigeon BE24-5055129 took first place against 988 youngsters and was the fastest in the entire field of 2,225 pigeons. This pigeon, a direct descendant of "Nina", achieved this result thanks to the excellent genetics of the pair 'Remco' (12. Nat. acebird KBDB Z.H.F.) and 'Nina' (1. Nat. Bourges). With four different pigeons from this pair, Jos Thoné has already achieved several impressive results, including:
6x 1st prize (no doubles)
1st Nat. c. Bourges (492km) 3,491b. '23
1st Sens (355km) 988 youngsters, fastest of 2.225b. '24
4th Laon (212km) 1,365b. '23
5th Melun (334km) 1.213b. '23
56th Orléans (436km) 4,176b. '23

Dax International

At the Dax International race (957km), the 2nd provincial prize against 273 old birds was obtained, which translated at national level into 71st place against 2,578 old birds. This performance was achieved by the pigeon loft of his sons Xavier and Maxim, located across the road from Jos Thoné's pigeon loft. As far as the pigeons for heavy long distance of the Thoné Xavier & Maxim loft are concerned, they collaborate with Guy Baerts, who breeds the pigeons for them. Guy certainly deserves a compliment as well for this fine performance.

Feeding programme

The pigeons receive PigeonHP products added to their food after morning training. Metachol, Carbo and Amino Build are fed twice a week, and Opti-Oil and Carbo Plus on basketing day. Beyers feed, in particular Premium Thoné Olympic, Galaxy Energy and Galaxy Long Distance TT (for long-distance flights) is part of their regular feeding programme. This feeding programme, combined with advice from Dr Schroeder - Tollisan and quality vaccinations from weaning, keeps the pigeons in excellent health and condition.

With these impressive results, the Thoné team demonstrates its excellent form, with two provincial first prizes in two consecutive weeks. The entire Herbots team warmly congratulates Jos Thoné and his team on these excellent results!
