Do I have to pay VAT?
VAT in Belgium
The VAT rate in Belgium on pigeons is 6%.
All Belgian customers must pay 6% VAT.
VAT in Europe
The VAT percentage for pigeons sent in Europe is also 6% for all our private customers.
VAT is not charged to companies with a valid VAT number in Europe (except Belgium).
VAT outside Europe
If your carrier can provide an export document (EXA) you do not have to pay VAT. Most carriers can provide this.
If carriers cannot provide this, 6% VAT must be paid.
It is possible that an import tax must be paid when importing the pigeons.
