Saturday, April 19, the second flight of the new racing season was on the program for the Homma brothers and how! Under beautiful conditions and with a strong head wind, their pigeons faced a tough challenge on the flight from Luyksgestel (184 km). But the colony of Gebr. Homma immediately showed its best side with an impressive series of arrivals.

The first two pigeons arrived simultaneously, shoulder to shoulder. First to arrive was the NL24-590: a direct Eijerkamp hen and half-sister of none other than ‘Juna’, the 1st National Acebird Shrews PIPA Rankings 2024. Shortly afterwards followed the NL22-785, a hen from Marco Zandvoort, half-sister to ‘Mazati Haas’, which already won a first prize in the department twice.

In Flight Area 5 it was a true demonstration of class: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and that against 2,471 pigeons. With 22 of the 64 pigeons entered in the first 100 of the area, the whole team confirmed its excellent form.

Also in Division 11 Friesland this did not go unnoticed: there they scored among others 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 22, 27, 28 against no less than 18,837 pigeons!

A more than promising start of the season with a colony that seems ready for many more fireworks. The tone has been set!
