Team building day Herbots

04 Oct 2023

Perfect teamwork is very important for a company and anyone who has a very good team can do that little bit more in all areas. The Herbots team is known as a very close team. Under the leadership of and together with Miet and Jo, everyone goes through the proverbial fire for everyone. But the bow cannot always be tense and on Thursday, September 28, the annual team building day took place. The weather gods were kind to the Herbots team. Not a cloud in the sky and full sun, it brought a wide smile to everyone.

Since images say much more than words, we would like to publish some atmospheric photos.

At 10 am there was a meeting at “Route 38” (Heers) where people could discover beautiful places in Haspengouw along rural roads with colorful Citroën 2CV (authentic deux-Chevaux). It took some getting used to to get the “goats” under control, but thanks to the good explanation from the operators, the “cruising” could begin.

A first stop was at the “see-through church” of Borgloon, called “Reading between the lines”. This is 10 meters high and consists of 100 layers of steel plate stacked on top of each other in the shape of a church. It is wonderful to see how the church is present but also absent from the landscape

Second stop was at the “floating chapel”. Artist Frits Jeuris created this unique design at the highest point of Helshoven. The chapel was built with dozens of felled tall cherry trees.

After filling their hungry stomachs, the 2CV's went to the castle of Ordingen. This beautiful castle with a very rich history is currently operated as a hotel/restaurant. There, the “team spirit” was further improved by completing some “team games” such as archery, tug-of-war and an obstacle course.

It was “thirsty weather” and no better place than the Wilderen brewery to quench your thirst. This ultra-modern brewery and distillery housed in a monumental farm with a cozy tasting and chat café was the place to be. The professional tour was appreciated by everyone.

The evening ended with a top dinner where a word of thanks to Miet and Jo was more than appropriate.
