Eddy & Maarten Leutenez (Ruien) Win 1st Interprovincial Orleans against 7,685 Young Pigeons

Ruien - Eddy and Maarten Leutenez took another first inter-provincial win, this time on the 331km flight from Orleans. Their young pigeon BE24-4147002, "Simone", proved her exceptional class by winning both locally and inter-provincially. Also, she was the fastest pigeon of the entire field of 9,891 pigeons.

The winning pigeon "Simone" performed impressively last weekend:
1st Local Orleans against 798 pigeons
1st Interprovincial Orleans against 7,685 pigeons - and also the fastest of the entire release, in which 9,891 pigeons participated. 
"Simone" is also no stranger to the winner's circle. Earlier she also achieved:
1st Club Clermont against 635 pigeons
1st Combine Clermont against 1,239 pigeons

The impressive pedigree of "Simone" contributes to her success. She is an inbreed of the stock hen "Het Bolleken" and a great-grandchild of "Eagle Jose", who is also the mother of "New Oscar", the new star of Eddy and Maarten who last year became 2nd Nat. Ace Pigeon Middle Distance KBDB Young Pigeons. "Simone" was basketed at the end of the breeding period, which may have contributed to her outstanding performance.

Including doubles, Eddy and Maarten's youngsters have already won seven first prizes this season, including two prestigious inter-provincial victories at Fontenay and now Orleans.

This result once again confirms the excellent quality of Eddy and Maarten Leutenez's pigeons and their consistent performances year after year in pigeon racing.
